A French drain system will typically go around the entire perimeter of your home. A partial French drain will encompass only part of the perimeter of the home. The purpose of this type of drainage system is to prevent water intrusion before it enters into the crawl spaces under your home. A French Drain system will generally begin 12” below the foundation or the interior soil of your home. This system generally has a four perforated PVC pipe at the bottom of the trench and above a 4 inch solid. Then the trench will be filled with Class II perm drain rock and then capped with native soil. All downspout leaders and area drains from the home will be connected to the solid drain line. Now that a Full French Drain system has been installed you have ensured to keep your home dry.
'Recently I had a retaining wall replaced by Bay Area Drainage - I was very impressed by the company and their work. The price was very reasonable and the workmen were the nicest I have ever met. They were very polite and when the job was completed the area was left very neat and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend Bay Area Drainage very highly to anybody .'
